MARTIAL ARTS FORAdults & Teens
Our beginner adult classes let students understand Taekwondo through a learning experience that combines detailed instruction, constructive feedback, and the application of technique. The advanced class is a deeper exploration of the art.
BIG WINS IN This
No experience needed. Start with our Trial Program — two beginner classes for $40 — and move at your own pace.
Training, Not A Workout Class
You are learning an art with a curriculum, a grading standard and a lineage — not following an instructor through an hour of cardio.
Strength & Flexibility
Full-body movement that builds real mobility. Greater flexibility means healthier joints and a lower risk of injury outside the dojang.
Stress Released, Not Stored
An hour of complete focus on what your body is doing. Most adults tell us it is the only part of the day their mind is genuinely quiet.
Detailed Correction
Small classes mean you are actually coached. Constructive feedback on your technique is the core of how the adult program is taught.
Train Alongside Your Child
Parents on the mat with their kids is one of the best things that happens here — and it changes how a child sees the effort.
A Rank You Earn
Adult students test to the same Kukkiwon standard as everyone else. Nothing about the belt is softened because you started late.

MAXIMIZE YOUR FULL Potential
Our adult and teen classes are for people in the Yorktown area who want to learn something properly — whether you last trained thirty years ago or have never thrown a kick.
Ages 14+ — complete beginners genuinely welcome
Adults returning to training after years away
Parents who want to train alongside their child
Teens who have outgrown the kids classes.
Anyone who prefers learning a discipline over following a workout
Families from Yorktown, Peekskill, Chappaqua, Millwood or Putnam Valley
"Adults maximize their full potential."
COMMON ADULTS & TEENS Questions
I have never done martial arts. Will I be the only beginner?
No. Our beginner adult class exists specifically for people starting from zero, and we run it as its own class rather than dropping newcomers into an advanced group. The Trial Program — two beginner classes for $40 — is the normal way adults start here.
I am not in great shape. Should I get fit first?
Please do not wait. Taekwondo builds the conditioning as you go, and instruction is adjusted to the person in front of us. Master Philip Jeung is also a NASM-certified personal trainer, and Grandmaster Jeung is a qualified body corrector and certified sport masseuse — safe movement is something this school takes seriously.
Can I train with my child?
Yes, and we encourage it. Families training together is part of the culture here — it changes how children view the work when they watch a parent struggle through the same drill.
What is the difference between the beginner and advanced adult classes?
The beginner class combines detailed instruction, constructive feedback and applying technique. The advanced class is a further, in-depth exploration of advanced Taekwondo, for students who already hold the fundamentals.
How much do classes cost?
Our programs average $199 per month for up to two classes per week. Start with the Trial Program — two beginner classes for $40 — before committing to anything longer.
